Outreach

Meet one of our Wildlife Ambassadors, Henry. He’s unable to be released back into the wild due to a lawnmower injury, but he can play an important role in teaching the community about the importance of protecting the wildlife that can be found right here in Nashville.

One important aspect of our mission is to teach the community the best ways to coexist with our wildlife neighbors. If you’re interested in NWCC coming to do an educational program at your facility, please read the following and complete the interest form below.

Educational Programs

Our educational programs are typically an hour long, but can vary depending on the needs of your facility and if an animal is present at the program. Each program highlights one of our Calls-To-Actions (CTAs), which are based on the seasonal needs of wildlife and tailored depending on age group. Throughout, we’ll engage participants with activities, questions, and games! This stimulates participants to think about how all of us can support wildlife right here in Nashville.

At most of our programs, we offer an opportunity to see one of our wildlife ambassadors. This allows participants to make a direct connection with wildlife and can help anchor the CTA for an individual. However, please note their appearance is not guaranteed as they are still wild animals, and at NWCC, we give all wildlife lots of choice.

Our educational programs are ideal for:

  • Schools/Classrooms

  • After-school Programs

  • Community Festivals & Events

  • Senior Centers

  • Churches

  • Summer Camps

  • Recreation Centers

  • Libraries

As a non-profit, we rely entirely on your generosity and support. We do not charge for our educational programs, however, a suggested donation of $200 per program helps us to cover daily care and medical costs for our wildlife ambassadors, as well as our supplies and transportation.

Programs are made possible because of ongoing support from partners like you.
