Conservation Starts
in the Community
Thank you, Nashville!
After nearly a decade, NWCC is coming to a close. Our staff and volunteers are ready for new challenges (some in new places!) and after careful consideration together, we decided to dissolve our beloved non-profit after the spring 2025 migration season.
Together we have changed lives.
We believe people must work within their own communities to achieve lasting wildlife conservation. Since 2016, NWCC has worked tirelessly to empower our community to connect, conserve, and coexist with the natural world. Now, it’s time for a new chapter.
We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from our community, donors, partner organizations, and volunteers over the years. This support has allowed us to surpass our goals and to offer education, wildlife rehabilitation, and conservation initiatives throughout Nashville.
NWCC’s mission has always been to help our community Connect, Conserve, and Coexist with nature.
Connect
Thanks to our donors, underserved students received supplemental STEM education through school programs and community events. This allowed us to cultivate the next generation of naturalists and conservationists.
Conserve
With your help, NWCC was able to rehabilitate hundreds of sick, injured, or orphaned animals and release them back into the wild at full health. We also teamed up with local nature centers working to conserve critical wildlife habitat.
Coexist
As Nashville continues to develop, it is essential that the community coexists with our wildlife neighbors for all of us to have happy, healthy lives. Our priority has been to provide the public with seasonal resources and solutions to make this possible.
